Celebrating the Spirit of Korean Mothers in Calligraphy Art

An exhibition showcasing calligraphy art by the Gangwon Women's Calligraphy Association has opened at the Korean Women's Training Center in Gangneung, focusing on the spirit and legacy of Korea's renowned female artist, Shin Saimdang. The event includes works from 50 artists, each contributing a piece that reinterprets Shin Saimdang’s work with a modern perspective. The exhibition also marks the induction of the new president of the association, Lee Sangdon, whose work reflects the wisdom of Saimdang through calligraphy. This exhibition is an exploration of how contemporary artists reinterpret Saimdang’s artistic spirit and contribution.
