The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Visit Korea Committee are launching a competition to develop local tourism products for foreigners. The aim is to uncover up to 20 appealing tourism packages that will encourage foreign tourists to visit regions beyond Seoul and the metropolitan area. Companies can submit up to three proposals focusing on themes like K-content, K-food, natural scenery, sports, and traditional culture. Selected companies will receive funding support of up to 44 million Korean won for development and marketing, and their products will be promoted on global travel platforms. The initiative aims to enhance the attractiveness of regional tourism for international visitors while boosting the local tourism industry.
