EDIYA Coffee, a popular coffee chain in South Korea, has announced a new pricing strategy where delivery orders through apps will be priced higher than orders through their own app. Due to increasing delivery fees and cost pressures, EDIYA will raise prices by 300 KRW for manufactured drinks and 500 KRW for bakery items and ready-to-drink/eat products on delivery apps, while keeping the price for their popular Americano coffee unchanged. This pricing change aims to support the stable operation of their franchises. Other chains like Mom’s Touch and Bonjons Korean porridge have also introduced differential pricing for delivery, reflecting a wider trend among Korean franchises to adapt to rising costs.
