Poet Hwang Cheong-won and painter Kim Yang-soo, both from Jindo, South Korea, have released a book titled 'Dharma Laughs at Me', combining poetry and paintings centered around Buddhist themes. The book is a testament to their 30-year friendship, where Hwang's poems are paired with Kim's serene artwork. A notable piece features the poet in a wheelchair, pushed by the artist, as they gaze at the moon together — reflecting both Hwang's real-life mobility challenges and the mutual support sustained by their friendship. An accompanying exhibition will be held in Seoul's Insadong from March 26 to April 1.
