Kangwon Land's Mind Recharging Center has announced a new meditation-focused program aimed at supporting individuals recovering from gambling addiction. The center collaborated with KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) to explore the effects of meditation on emotional stability and self-control in recovering gamblers. The program, held six times in Yeongwol's High Healing Center, involved practices such as body scan, breath meditation, and walking meditation, demonstrating significant emotional benefits and recovery facilitation. As a first of its kind in Korea, this study points to meditation's role in empowering recovering addicts to actively participate in their healing process. The center aims to further enhance the program with continuous research and collaboration with forest healing institutions.
