CJ CheilJedang Collaborates with Incheon City and University for Nori Aquaculture Research

CJ CheilJedang has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Incheon City and Incheon University for the development of nori (a type of seaweed) aquaculture on land. This collaboration aims to industrialize the cultivation of nori and enhance its seed development. The research will involve a consortium that includes Jeollanam-do Province and Haenam County to further participate in related projects organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. CJ CheilJedang plans to expand its cooperation with local governments, including Jeju Island, to develop facilities for nori aquaculture. Notably, the company was the first in the industry to develop land-based nori cultivation technology, achieving significant milestones since 2018.
