Traditional Ritual for Abundant Cornelian Cherry Harvest

On the morning of March 15, a traditional ritual to pray for a bountiful harvest took place at the Cornelian Cherry Tree site in Gyecheok Village, Sandong, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do (province in South Korea). The ritual marks the beginning of the Gurye Sansuyu (Cornelian Cherry) Blossom Festival, which will run until March 23. Such rituals are part of cultural events celebrating agricultural heritage in Korea.
