K-Swiss, a sportswear brand once popular in South Korea during the early 2000s, is making a return. BYN, the parent company of BlackYak (a well-known outdoor brand in Korea), collaborated with KP Global, the owner of K-Swiss global IP rights, to relaunch the brand in South Korea through a joint venture named 'K-Swiss Korea'. Utilizing its strong heritage and existing brand recognition, K-Swiss plans to expand its product range, including tennis shoes and apparel for sports like running and skiing. The company aims to rejuvenate interest among older generations and attract younger consumers by emphasizing casual, versatile designs. To support sales, K-Swiss is focusing on online platforms like Musinsa and SSF, and plans to expand offline stores in major areas. They also plan to enhance their design capabilities with a design center in Seoul and explore collaborations with global brands like Batman and Harry Potter.
