The National Dance Company of Korea is presenting 'Mi-in' from April 3-6, 2024, at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul. Directed by Yang Jung-woong, known for his work on the PyeongChang Winter Olympics opening ceremony, 'Mi-in' aims to showcase the beauty of Korean traditional dance and modern reinterpretations. The performance features 29 female dancers and incorporates 11 folk dances such as 'Sanso & Salpuri' and 'Kanggangsullae.' The show reimagines traditional Korean dance with contemporary elements, using elaborate costumes designed by renowned stylist Seo Young-hee and a dynamic stage set by art director Shin Ho-seung. With music composed by Jang Young-kyu, known for his work in films and dramas, the performance is described as a vibrant synthesis of arts, celebrating both the beauty of traditional and modern Korean dance.
