At the 2025 Qten Japan K-Beauty Mega Conference in Seoul, Gu Jahyun, the CEO of eBay Japan, announced plans to expand K-beauty companies to a total value of 30 trillion KRW by nurturing 120 South Korean beauty firms. With Qten Japan growing rapidly since its launch, it's now Japan's largest beauty platform, driven by the K-beauty trend. Notably, women in their 30s to 50s are increasingly using Korean cosmetics along with the younger generation. The conference emphasized the importance of supply chain competitiveness and collaboration with global ODM (Original Development Manufacturing) leaders like Cosmax to maintain K-beauty’s market leadership. Plans also include expanding into related categories such as inner beauty and fashion.
