The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean Food Promotion Institute will celebrate the 'Asia's 50 Best Restaurants' event, held in Seoul for the second consecutive year, by promoting Korean cuisine. The event, titled 'Korean Cuisine, the Taste of Korea,' will take place on November 25 and is open to the public. It will be held at Korea House in Seoul.
The event features two parts: a Korean cuisine talk concert and a gourmet market. The talk concert will feature chefs like Jongwon Son of 'EITANIC Garden,' who is recognized in the Asia's Best 50 with a Michelin star, discussing the globalization of Korean cuisine.
The gourmet market will showcase diverse Korean dishes and traditional liquor cocktails presented by chefs from the culinary show 'Black and White Chef.' Attendance is limited to 60 participants, who must register on the Korean Food Promotion Institute's website and bring identification on the day of the event.
The president of the Korean Food Promotion Institute, Gyu-min Lee, hopes the event will enhance the global perception of Korean food and promote Korea as a food tourism destination.
