Various local governments in South Korea are working to transform their regions into beautiful night-time attractions. In Chungcheongbuk-do, Eumseong County is investing 1 billion KRW to create a specialized urban landscape in Seolseong Park and the surrounding Gyeonghojeong area. This spot is known for hosting the annual Eumseong Pumba Festival and Seolseong Cultural Festival. The county plans to install lighting in these areas to craft an attractive night view.
Similarly, Cheongju City has installed lighting in its historic Sangdangsanseong Fortress, enhancing the site for evening visits. Cheonan City also implemented a media façade (an artistic installation using lights and multimedia technology on structures) on the Cheonsugyo Bridge in Anseodong Cheonhoji Park.
These initiatives aim to revitalize local areas by improving the living environment and offering new sightseeing opportunities, benefiting both residents and tourists.
