In August 2023, ceramic artist Lee Neung-ho's installation 'Jiip' was displayed at the Buan Moving Popup Cinema Festival in Jeollabuk-do, Korea. The ceramic stones blended into the sunset scenery at Byeonsan Beach. Visitors interacted with the artworks, unaware they were pieces of art. The exhibition 'Gup and Hap,' showcasing Lee and Park Sung-wook's works, is held at Suainyo339, Seoul. Both artists reinterpret traditional Korean pottery techniques: 'Taryumjil' for jars and 'Dumbung' for buncheong ware. Lee's 'Jiip' evolves from traditional open jars to closed ones, symbolizing seeds or eggs filled with cosmic wonder. Meanwhile, Park creates art from broken 'Pyeon' buncheong pieces, exploring freedom and modernity. Their works blend into natural landscapes and provoke reflection on tradition and life.
