Pianist Lim Yunchan, often described as a 'classical music idol,' is drawing attention for his upcoming concerts in South Korea. Tickets for his performances are being resold at up to 20 times their original price on second-hand marketplaces like Joonggonara and Ticket Bay. Despite measures to curb scalping, such as identity verification at venues, the problem persists. The proceeds from Lim's upcoming guerrilla concert in Goyang will be donated to children's hospitals, with ticket prices originally set at a low cost to make the performance accessible. However, scalped tickets for this event are now reaching up to 1 million KRW (approximately 760 USD) online.
