BTS Visits Acclaimed Pork Gomtang Restaurant in New York

BTS members Jin, RM, J-Hope, and V visited Okdongsik, a pork gomtang (pork bone soup) restaurant in Manhattan’s Koreatown after their New York comeback stage. The group attended the 'Spotify x BTS: Swimside' event at Pier 17 and later dined at the restaurant, which earned praise from The New York Times as one of the city’s top foods in 2023. Okdongsik, founded in Seoul’s Hapjeong in 2016 and later opened in New York, is known for its clear golden pork broth served with sliced pork, rice, and chopped scallions, typically accompanied by kimchi. The chef noted some members had watched the Netflix show The Chef Show: Black & White (Korean title '흑백요리사: 요리 계급 전쟁') and were curious to try the gomtang after seeing it on the program.
