The new original play "A Kind Farewell" (다정한 배웅) opens June 5–July 26 at KT&G Sangsangmadang Daechi Art Hall in Seoul. This human black comedy centers on a special cleaning company that clears the final scenes of the deceased, exploring how those left behind find ways to live again. Veteran cleaner Ban Chun-bae, with 20 years of experience, is played by Jang Yong and Seo In-seok; his stoic dedication and unexpected encounters force him to confront his past. Young owner Park Min-jae of the company "Flower Scent" (꽃향기) is portrayed by Jung Geowoon and Geum Dong-hyun, offering a different, warmer kind of care. Ban’s ex-wife Yoon Sun-young, though deceased, drives the plot through her last wishes and is played by Seo Kwon-soon and Bang Eun-hee. The production aims not for tearful consolation but to honor the quiet, responsible care of people who stay until the end. Tickets go on sale next month.
