The launch of the next-generation space telescope SPHEREx, developed in collaboration between Korean and US space agencies, has been postponed again. The launch, initially scheduled for December 9 at 12:09 PM KST from California, was delayed for additional pre-launch inspections. SPHEREx, capable of observing infrared in space, aims to map the universe in 102 colors and gather data on approximately one billion celestial bodies. The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute contributed to this project with its near-infrared space telescope technology.
