In Korea, there's a growing trend of consumers who are interested in maintaining a healthy diet without sacrificing taste. Gluten-free products, made from alternatives such as rice, corn, and potatoes instead of wheat, are becoming popular. A recent survey showed that 76.1% of adults focus on health management, with 65.3% having tried or purchased gluten-free foods. Women, especially in their 40s, are the biggest consumers. The interest is largely driven by the belief that these products are healthier, and potentially beneficial for dieting. Gluten-free bread and bakery items are particularly popular.
