The National Museum of Korea has improved the functionality of its smart kiosk displays to ensure both disabled and non-disabled visitors can conveniently access the exhibits. Specifically, the sign language recognition accuracy for deaf visitors using the kiosks' sign language avatar has been elevated to 90%. Additionally, various accessibility features such as automatic height adjustment and braille keypads for visually impaired visitors have been incorporated. This initiative is part of the ongoing "Barrier-Free Smart Exhibition" project launched in 2003, aiming to enhance accessibility based on different types of disabilities. Currently, there are 12 smart kiosks installed across the National Museum and its affiliated museums throughout South Korea. The museum plans on continuously improving the service according to visitor feedback.
