The debut concert of 'Valken Percussion', led by Professor Shim Sun-min from Kangwon National University, is scheduled to take place at the Seoul Arts Center on the 8th. Professor Shim, a percussionist, has founded this ensemble this year, serving as the artistic director. The group includes founding members Kim Seung-soo, Min Kyung-bin, Oh Sang-min, and Ahn Pyung-gang. The concert will feature the South Korean premiere of 'Disappearances' by American film composer Austin Keck, and 'Arrow' by contemporary composer Andy Akiho. Selections from Kapustin’s '8 Concert Etudes' and Gershwin’s 'Rhapsody in Blue' will also be performed.
