Gente, a luxury platform in Korea claiming to block fake goods by sourcing directly from boutiques, was found to have distributed counterfeit Prada sunglasses. The Korea Luxury Appraisal Institute identified the sunglasses as counterfeit, prompting Gente to offer refunds to affected customers. Gente sources products from over 330 boutiques in Europe and markets itself as offering authentic goods at competitive prices due to eliminating intermediary margins. They are investigating with the boutique to prevent future incidents.
