At the 2026 Seoul Living Design Fair, familiar Korean appliance makers Cuckoo and Coway showcased broad lifestyle shifts beyond single products. Cuckoo, long known for rice cookers, displayed 85 items including vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, coffee machines and new beauty devices—visitors tried facial gadgets and reported instant lifting effects. Coway moved past water purifiers to “sleep-tech,” featuring smart mattresses that stretch the spine and high-tech beds and massage chairs that drew long queues for naps. Other brands like Ottogi and Hanil Electric presented lifestyle goods and design items, turning the fair into a hands-on showroom for home makeovers. The show signaled that companies are redefining themselves as full home-lifestyle platforms rather than single-product manufacturers.
