A unique meditation program for individuals with developmental disabilities in Incheon, Korea, has been gaining attention. Despite skepticism, participants have responded positively to meditation sessions led by Professor Kim Jae-seong of Nungin Graduate University, which include various forms of meditation such as loving-kindness and mindful eating. Initiated by Bishop Kim Sung-su, who is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of these individuals, the program has seen unexpected success, changing preconceived notions about the capabilities of people with developmental disabilities. The program organizers hope to continue and expand this initiative, supported by positive feedback from participants and their families.
