Canada's NAC Orchestra to Perform in South Korea this May

Canada's National Arts Centre (NAC) Orchestra, renowned for its innovative approach, will make its first concert appearance in South Korea on May 31 at the Seoul Arts Center. Directed by Alexander Shelley, the performance will feature pianist Yeol Eum Son. Known for bold performances and a vision reflecting societal issues, Shelley's repertoire includes classical, post-romantic, impressionist, and modern music, showcasing pieces by contemporary Canadian composers. The concert will open with Strauss's 'Don Juan,' include a South Korean premiere of Kelly-Marie Murphy's contemporary work, and a Ravel concerto with Son, culminating in Beethoven's iconic Symphony No. 5.
