Two modern art exhibitions in Seoul are making waves by breaking the stereotype that modern art is difficult to understand. The Leeum Museum in Hannam-dong displays 44 works from renowned artists including Auguste Rodin, with special attention to his celebrated piece, 'The Burghers of Calais'. Meanwhile, Hakgojae Gallery presents an exhibition by artist Kim Jaeyong, famously known as the "Donut Artist" due to his vibrant ceramic donut installations. Both exhibits offer diverse interpretations of modern art, inviting audiences to engage with the artworks on a sensory and imaginative level, beyond traditional art historical perspectives.
