Busan will host a series of Lunar New Year events: a 2,500-drone “M Drone Light Show” at Gwangalli Beach on Feb. 14 showcasing traditional motifs (jangseung - wooden village guardians, bokjumeoni - lucky pouches) and horse-year imagery; a Winter Light Tree Festival and citizen-led lighting ceremony with a “Winter Light Concert” on Gwangbok-ro on Feb. 14 and interactive video events on Feb. 17; and discounted Busan Tower observatory admission (50% off) for visitors wearing hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) on Feb. 16–18. Traditional folk-game booths (yutnori, jegichagi, tuho) and a “haunted house” will operate at Yongdusan Village plaza, while city facilities run hands-on folk-play activities and Haeundae Aquarium offers a Lunar New Year photo zone and shark feeding shows featuring a performer in hanbok. Busan City Tour offers 50% fares for passengers born in the year of the horse on Feb. 15–16 and social media photo events for matched outfits on western routes.
