Israel’s national carrier EL AL plans major route expansion and will add Seoul (Incheon) direct service. Over the next year the airline will introduce nine new routes, bringing its direct destinations to about 60. Tickets for the new Incheon flights go on sale in May, with actual service scheduled to begin in March 2027. EL AL will operate roughly 900 weekly flights worldwide, including thrice-weekly long-haul services to Korea, Vietnam (Hanoi), and the Philippines (Manila) using Boeing 787 Dreamliners with economy, premium, and business classes. Some European services (e.g., Copenhagen, Sardinia, Sicily) will be operated by EL AL’s subsidiary Sun d’Or at lower fares. Hanoi fares are already on sale from $899 round-trip for flights starting October 2026; Manila details coming later. Bilateral traffic rights allocate three weekly frequencies each to Korea and Israel, allowing both EL AL and Korean carriers (such as Korean Air) to operate simultaneously when routes resume, increasing direct flight options between the countries.
