The play 'Educating Rita' opened in Daehangno, Seoul, reimagining Rita as a woman in her 40s to reflect modern Korean society. Comedian-turned-actress Jo Hye-ryeon, along with actors Choi Yeo-jin and Yoo In, will rotate in the title role, each drawing on personal experiences of late-career change and self-discovery. Director Son Nam-mok said the change from the original 20s-era Rita emphasizes "courage gained over time." Veteran actors Nam Myung-ryeol, Ryu Tae-ho, and Kim Myung-su share the role of Frank, highlighting the play as his growth story as well. Performances run at Art House in Daehangno through April 26.
