Hawaii Tourism Launches ‘Lei’ AI Guide on KakaoTalk

Hawaii Tourism has launched ‘Lei’, an AI travel guide accessible instantly by adding the ‘Hawaii Tourism Lei’ channel on KakaoTalk (a popular Korean messaging app). The service requires no separate app or registration and offers over 600 travel contents and a database of more than 3,000 FAQs for real-time, personalized responses. Lei supports Korean, English, and Japanese, and was beta-tested with travel YouTuber ‘Wanderer ChabakChabak’ (방랑자 차박차박). An event for subscribers runs through the 20th on that YouTube channel. The launch aims to improve local information access and expand real-time communication during travel as part of Hawaii’s digital strategy for the Korean market; content will be gradually expanded.
