Culture Minister Choi Hwi-young marked six months in office by promising to design cultural policy with input from the field. He said the “Culture Day” program will be revised so benefits are felt more often by citizens rather than concentrated on a single day. On the planned BTS concert at Gwanghwamun, Choi expressed gratitude and said the ministry is coordinating with relevant agencies to decide on specifics and possible support. For international sports exchanges, he prefers the government to back private initiatives rather than lead them.
