Pianist Kim Jun-hyung Opens Daegwallyeong Music Festival’s 'Spring'

Pianist Kim Jun-hyung will kick off the Daegwallyeong Music Festival’s seasonal program with ‘Gangwon’s Four Seasons – Spring’ on April 1 at Gangneung Arts Center. Ticket sales open on the 12th. Kim, a prizewinner at the ARD International Music Competition (Munich) and winner of the Seoul International Music Competition, has performed at major European festivals and served as artist-in-residence at Kumho Art Hall in 2024. His recital program includes Bach’s Partita No.1 in B-flat major BWV 825 and Prelude No.1 in C major BWV 846, Schumann’s Waldszenen Op.82 and Fantasie in C major Op.17. Discounts are available for Gangwon residents, students (elementary to university), people with disabilities and national veterans. The 23rd Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival runs July 23–Aug 2 across venues in Gangwon Province with the theme “Legacy and Innovation.” (Daegwallyeong: a mountain pass and the festival’s namesake)
