Insun Park & Generals, a creative group led by national intangible cultural asset holder Insun Park, blends traditional Korean mask dance (gangnyeong talchum) with modern rock. They debuted at New York’s Lincoln Center during globalFEST on January 11 and have received strong praise from North American world-music promoters and critics for their powerful vocals, charismatic stage presence, and genre-defying fusion. The ensemble—featuring members from notable Korean rock and indie acts—tours nine North American cities, including stops in Philadelphia, San Antonio (UnityFEST), Minnesota (The Cedar Cultural Center), and Wisconsin (Heide Center).
