Myeongryun Jinsagalbi, a charcoal-grilled pork rib (sotbul dwaeji galbi) franchise, has sustained growth by promoting a ‘low price, high quality’ model and a unique ‘meat theme park’ concept. Now in its 7th year, the chain attracts budget-conscious diners by offering unlimited servings—seven types of meat (including pork ribs and samgyeopsal), a self-serve bar, rice and drinks—for a single per-person price. Post-COVID store renewals introduced new menu items (e.g., Hureo Pepper steak, French rack), expanded self-bar offerings (tteokbokki, japchae, assorted fried foods), and family-friendly features like a children’s playroom and snack zone. The brand also innovates experiences with features such as a ReverseTap (machine-poured draft beer) offering unlimited beer for 4,900 won, an ‘Eomoni Zone’ (mother’s zone) with healthy gondre rice and side dishes, and a free old-style red bean shaved ice (patbingsu) zone in summer. These zones are being rolled out nationwide, and the company says it will continue customer-focused services and reasonable pricing to remain Korea’s top meat theme park.
