Gyeonggi Tourism Organization suggests family-friendly getaway spots near Seoul for the Lunar New Year holiday. Highlights include: Ansan’s Veraadel Riding Club (large domed arena, camping and guesthouse accommodations); Gwangju’s Gonjiam Resort (nine ski slopes, sledding, cafes and local specialty soup "somerigukbap" (ox-head soup)); Hwaseong’s Gungpyeong Camp (stable tours, pony walks on a 1 km trail and murals by artist Kim Sina); Yangpyeong Golden Saddle Riding Club (scenic mountain views, indoor/outdoor arenas, certified instructors, pool villas and winter camping with open-air baths); and Goyang One Mount Snow Park (indoor snow theme park with ice rink, sleds, Santa-themed displays and children’s attractions).
