Brass Band 'The Luton' Holds Third Regular Concert in Chuncheon

The large brass ensemble The Luton, comprised of young brass players from Gangwon Province, will present its 3rd regular concert at Chuncheon Culture & Arts Center on the 21st at 5 p.m. The program features varied brass instruments including cornet and euphonium (a brass instrument similar to a small tuba), and will be conducted by music director Kim Tae-hee, a tuba player with the Daejeon Philharmonic. Soloists include cellist Im Jae-sung from the Daejeon Philharmonic and euphonium player Lee Tae-young. The concert opens with Holst’s The Planets suite, followed by Gulda’s Cello Concerto arranged for brass band with Im Jae-sung as soloist.
