The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) is inviting small and mid-sized food manufacturers to apply by April 9 for its Smart Factory Support Program, which aims to boost K-Food export competitiveness and food-tech growth. Up to 10 companies will be selected and receive government grants of up to 200 million KRW (approx.) per company, matched 1:1 by the manufacturer. The program funds ICT-driven smart factory setups that optimize production processes and integrate automation equipment, controllers and sensors with factory management systems. Package support includes links to other government industry programs—such as food quality and hygiene consulting, guarantees for purchasing domestic agricultural products, and localization support—each selected company must join at least one related Ministry of Agriculture initiative. Details are available on the smart factory project portal and aT website. (K-Food: Korean food; aT: Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation)
