A new original Korean musical, 'The Pen,' opens April 9 at SH Art Hall in Jongno, Seoul, running through June 29. Set in early 20th-century Paris, the story follows novelist Emma, who struggles to keep her voice amid a repressive marriage, and Jane, an unknown painter supporting her siblings by drawing street portraits. The two women meet and collaboratively create a novel, exploring solidarity and artistic growth. Roles are shared among multiple actresses: Emma is played by Moon Jin-ah, Rangyeon, and Lim Ye-jin; Jane by Jang Bo-ram, Choi Su-hyun, and Jung Dan-bi. The creative team includes author Song Yu-jeong (who wrote the bestselling novel 'The Memory Book' exported to 19 countries) as scriptwriter and lyricist, composer Joo Young-min, director Lee Gi-ppum, and choreographer Hong Yoo-sun.
