The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Korea Tourism Organization, has introduced a new tourism trend called 'Dailycation,' where visitors experience Korean daily life as part of their travel itinerary. The trend covers four main areas: fashion and beauty (referred to as 'ui' for apparel), food ('sik'), accommodation and relaxation ('ju'), and hobbies and leisure activities. A survey of 243 international visitors highlighted interest in beauty salons, traditional and modern Korean cuisine such as K-BBQ, parks like the Han River, and cultural experiences such as shopping and one-day classes. This approach aims to break down the barriers between daily life and holiday experiences. The report offers thematic tours like 'Krunch Like Koreans' and 'Adorn Like Koreans' to immerse tourists in authentic Korean culture. The Korea Tourism Organization expects these insights to enhance tourism product development and marketing strategies.
