KGC CheongKwanJang’s new health supplement line GLPro (지엘프로) reached cumulative sales of 10.3 billion KRW in seven months, outpacing the company’s flagship product. Marketed for simultaneous blood sugar and body fat management, GLPro uses a red ginseng ingredient (KGC05pg) recognized by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for supporting blood sugar control. In a human trial of 98 adults over 40, GLPro users saw fasting glucose drop 9.07%, post-meal glucose 11.28%, insulin resistance improve 22.8%, HbA1c fall 1.68%, and GLP-1 rise 9.9%. The brand has expanded its audience—male buyers make up ~43% of purchases for the fat-management formula “GLPro Double Cut,” and younger customers in their 20s–40s are increasingly interested. KGC also launched a combined formula for post-meal blood sugar and fatigue with added vitamins and minerals, and released a limited holiday package in collaboration with OWUR (a modern reinterpretation of Korean traditional culture).
