A special group exhibition, “Seobo Art Space: Graduation Salon,” opens May 5–28 at Seobo Art Space in Seoul’s Seongsan-dong, the remodeled former studio of late master artist Park Seo-bo. Organized by the Seobo Art Foundation as an incubator project, the show spotlights eight emerging artists discovery-selected by foundation curators who visited university graduation exhibitions nationwide. The participating artists—working in mediums from Eastern painting (dongyanghwa) to Western painting and fiber art—present works addressing contemporary social discourse, memories and emotions, and sensory experiences of nature, blurring media boundaries. The venue’s history as Park’s 1990s studio adds symbolic weight to the program, which aims to help graduates transition into Korea’s institutional art world through professional exhibition opportunities. The exhibition is free, open 11:00–18:00, closed Mondays and public holidays.
