The director of the Thai Tourism Bureau in Seoul, Patanaphong Pornpengtarn, highlighted the eagerness of Thai tourists to visit Korea despite challenges posed by the Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) system. Due to K-ETA, which aims to prevent illegal stays, many Thai visitors face entry restrictions leading to a decline in tourist exchanges between the two countries. Despite these hindrances, Thai officials are working on increasing Korean visitors to Thailand. The goal is to reach 2 million Korean tourists this year, focusing on promoting Thailand's hidden attractions and cultural experiences, combined with campaigns like 'Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports.'
