Uljin, on Korea’s east coast, is attracting February visitors with its warmer coastal climate (5–7°C higher than inland), newly connected Donghae Line and upcoming KTX service, and seasonal attractions. Tourists enjoy winter’s deep cobalt sea from yacht cruises, sunset views beyond DeunggisAN Mountain lighthouse, and a 135m sea-facing skywalk with a dragon sculpture symbolizing love. Outdoor activities include Baegam Mountain trekking, Baegam Hot Spring (Baegam Oncheon) hot-bath relaxation, and marine sports from the local yacht school (sailing, windsurfing, scuba). From Feb 27–Mar 2 the “Uljin Snow Crab and Red Crab Festival” at Hupo Wangdolcho Plaza offers tastings, purchases, and traditional experiences. Uljin also hosts historic scenic sites of the Gwandong Eight Views (Gwandong Palgyeong) like Mangyangjeong and Wolsongjeong, and the limestone caves of Seongryugul with stable 15–17°C temperatures. With KTX access, Uljin has become an easy winter getaway offering food, nature, culture, and wellness.
