National Dance Company of Korea tours Spain and Belgium with 'Jungle' and 'All That Disappears Is Dramatic'

The National Dance Company of Korea will present Kim Seong-yong’s 'Jungle' and Heo Seong-im’s 'All That Disappears Is Dramatic' on stages in Barcelona and Liège. 'Jungle,' invited to the Barcelona Dancehouse season (all performances sold out), imagines a performance space where bodily instinct and vitality intersect and has toured 11 countries. Both works will close the international dance platform festival (Paye de Dans, a key European contemporary dance distribution festival) in Liège; there the company aims to broaden distribution channels for Korean contemporary dance and showcase the distinctive movement language of Korean choreographers. 'All That Disappears Is Dramatic' confronts death through repetitive physical rhythms and delicate bodily expression to explore personal and worldly fragility.
