Korean Culture Ministry Seeks 100 AI and Digital Tourism Startups

South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are running the 17th Tourism Venture Contest until March 4 to find and support 100 innovative tourism startups using AI and digital tech. The program selects 20 pre-startups (예비관광벤처), 40 early-stage ventures (within 3 years), and 40 growth-stage ventures (3–7 years). Applicants choose one area: tourism experiences, immersive tourism content, tourism infrastructure, or tourism deep-tech. Selected teams receive up to 10 million won in commercialization funding for about seven months, plus entrepreneurship training, tailored consulting, and domestic and international investment opportunities.
