Korea Tourism Organization Seeks Members for VISITKOREA 'VK Alliance' to Reach 33M Annual Visitors

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is recruiting member companies for its VISITKOREA platform’s 'VK Alliance' through Feb. 27. VISITKOREA (operating in eight languages) draws about 33 million annual visitors and 3.7 million social media followers. In its third year, the VK Alliance offers collaborative marketing to promote members’ content, products and services to international tourists using VK’s web, app, SNS and KTO overseas offices. KTO plans to accept travel businesses as well as private platforms and companies from other industries. Selected members receive tailored promotional content, translation and proofreading into eight languages, brand exposure across VK channels, and on- and offline joint promotions through year-end programs. An informational session will be held at KTO’s Seoul center on Feb. 10 (apply online by Feb. 6) to share this year’s plans and last year’s success stories. KTO reported that VK Alliance collaborations generated over 20,000 tourism product sales last year and drove about 420,000 new visits to members’ websites, highlighting measurable consumer conversions and increased overseas promotion.
