Amorepacific is set to rejoin the 4-trillion-won annual revenue club for the first time in three years as its 2023 sales are estimated at 4.2368 trillion won and operating profit rose sharply. The company reduced its reliance on China by expanding Western (North American and European) sales and acquiring COSRX, creating a risk-diversified portfolio across price tiers and categories. A multi-brand strategy — from premium Sulwhasoo to mass-market Etude, natural-focused Innisfree, skin-health brand Estra (esthetic/derma-focused) and Laneige (known for its Lip Sleeping Mask) — allows tailored deployment by region and channel, lowering volatility tied to single-hit products. Laneige and Estra are expected to drive future growth in Western markets, with Laneige’s strong overseas recognition spreading from lip care to broader skincare and Estra gaining traction in dermocosmetic channels like Sephora. Analysts say the diversified brand mix positions Amorepacific better for sustainable global expansion and less vulnerability to single-market downturns.
