KB Financial Group will continue its nationwide free admission project for public museums and art galleries through the first half of the year. Aligned with the Ministry of Culture’s plan to expand “Culture Day” (문화가 있는 날) to every Wednesday, the program—run with the Korean Museum Association—allows visitors to access exhibitions and education/experience programs at about 40 public institutions nationwide at no cost. Participants can apply via the KB Star Banking app’s “Gukmin Wallet” (국민지갑) under the “Museum & Gallery Free Admission” menu. Featured venues include Dooly Museum (둘리뮤지엄), Seodaemun Natural History Museum (서대문자연사박물관), Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art (제주현대미술관), Clayarch Gimhae Museum (클레이아크김해미술관), and Muju Insect Museum (무주곤충박물관). Around 34,000 visitors used the project in the past four months. From February, KB will expand participating institutions and include special (企劃) exhibitions as well as permanent displays. KB Financial’s chairman said the company will continue supporting cultural and artistic activities to enrich everyday life.
