Hotels across Seoul and Jeju are leaning into “Seol-cance” (Seollal + staycation) packages targeting families who prefer a relaxing holiday in the city. Many luxury hotels now offer kid-friendly themed rooms and in-room play setups—bunk beds, tents, character décor, and kids’ furniture—so children can play safely while parents rest in separate bedrooms. Packages include on-site activities like kids’ glamping tents, English play and cooking classes, indoor theme-park access, pools, and traditional games such as yut-nori and jegichagi to celebrate Seollal. Hotels also add perks like complimentary kids’ breakfast, calligraphy blessing events (new-year messages), and free kids’ lounge access to make short holidays more playful and convenient for families.
