Piano duo Segen (formed by Korean pianists Gong Eun-ji and Jeong Bo-geun, alumni of the Leipzig University of Music) will present their 4th regular concert on Feb 8 at Yeongsan Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The program features works for two pianos and four hands by Debussy, Arensky and Rachmaninoff. On Feb 9 at the same venue, Umyeonsanakpa, a choir of skilled vocalists from Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) will give its 3rd regular concert. Founded in 2023, the choir’s members come from KNUA’s vocal-oratorio department and currently perform with national and municipal choirs. For this concert, they will perform German Romantic choral works by Schumann and Brahms alongside Korean choral pieces, conducted by Jeong Nam-gyu (a composer of some 80 choral works).
