Free 'Doozzonkoo' Cookies Drive Higher Blood Donor Turnout in Gangwon

On Jan. 29, blood centers in Gangwon Province (Chuncheon, Wonju, Gangneung) offered limited free two-jjontku (Duba i chewy cookie) giveaways to encourage blood donations. Centers posted promotional posters and handed out a small number of two-jjontku to early donors; some branches reported double the usual reservations that day. Donors said they delayed work or came specifically for the cookie, and many left pleased after donating whole blood or platelets. The Gangwon Blood Center ran the promotion at multiple sites and urged residents to join, calling the trendy gift a way to make donating more enjoyable.
